You can awaken your abilities. December 7, 1941. The place, Peal Harbor. It was filled with battleships and destroyers. Without any warning and within two hours the Japanese had claimed the lives of 2,400 Americans, wounded another 1,178, damaged or destroyed 18 American battleships plus nearly 300 planes were destroyed or damaged.

It looked like a total disaster for the United States and a total success for Japan. The Japanese Admiral, Yamamoto was surrounded by his cheering subordinates, but with a sober look turned to them and said “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve”

I want to see you awakened, I want to help you awaken your abilities. Remember it’s not the battle that kills us, it is boredom! We all tend to categorize our shortcomings, our sins. But when one looks at the teachings of Jesus it wasn’t adultery, lying, cheating or sins of that nature that he spent a lot of time with, it was having a life of uselessness. A life that never uses for the good of others their God given abilities. There are six separate stories in the four gospels that deal with people that refused to use their abilities or refused to use them for others.

So how can we awaken our abilities? When Henry Ford wanted to develop unbreakable glass for his cars, he didn’t go to the experts, they would just give him reasons why it can’t be done. He went to those that would find the WHY that it can be done! So to move our life from inability and to awaken our ability requires us to make some big decisions. The first, here it is. I dare you to become strong, strong physically. The great men and women of the Bible were strong, they had awakened their ability. Moses remained strong all the way to 120 years, David was a powerful shepherd, fighter, and king. Look at Joshua and Caleb, in their 80s they were still ready for a fight. The Bible said that these men and women subdued kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouth of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, became valiant in fighting, and turned the armies of foreign enemies to flight.
It is time to be strong, to awaken our abilities by first awakening our physical bodies. For a lot more on this subject:
