One of the most powerful lines written in the Bible says this, “You have not because you ask not” James 4:2. Almost everything begins in our life because we ask. Men, you got married because you asked, “Will you marry me?” Most jobs are acquired by asking. You’ll never know a person until you first ask them their name and then ask questions about themselves. Much of prayer is asking.

If you are lost, you have to ask directions (men hate to do this). In a restaurant, you ask what’s good on the menu. If you call a doctors office, you have to ask for an appointment. We can go on, but I think you are seeing the power of asking. “We have not because we ask not.”

Matthew 7:7-8, “Ask, and it shall be given you… for everyone that asks receives.”
Matthew 18:19, “Again I say unto you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”
John 14:13, “And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do for you.”
John 15:7, “If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask whatever you will, and it will be done for you.”
James 1:5, “If anyone lacks wisdom let them ask God and it will be given to them.”

So, let’s start asking!!!
