Joy and enthusiasm are a great paradox because they can grow in any soil, and live under any condition, they defy the environment, they come from within, not from without. They don’t come from having, but from being, not of possessing, but of enjoying. They are a paradox because they can coexist with trials, tragedy, and poverty. A martyr at the stake can be the envy of a king on the throne!

Christianity is not only a message of eternal salvation but is also therapeutic for us now. Jesus said, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full” John 15:11. It’s amazing how many cases of illness are corrected, if not healed by the simple application of joy. The more we allow God to shoulder the heavy responsibilities of life, the more we daily surrender our life and future to Him and live in the present, the greater the joy and peace will be! Remember, Long held hate thoughts, fear thoughts, unhappiness thoughts, and negative thoughts will take the spring out of life. To be healthy, it’s important to listen and repeat the great promises of God. The Bible says in Proverbs 4:23 that it is in the mind that the spring up the issues of life. That being the case let’s saturate them with joy and enthusiasm daily. Let me suggest that you do three things every day. Love God, love life, and love people! Rehearse and practice these three things every day and see the difference they will make.
