John was a good man that had done some bad things. He lived for years under the shadow of what he had done, his health had deteriorated, and he had started using a wheelchair. As the years went by, he struggled with guilt and remorse until he came to a place where forgiveness had to be secured.

One day as the phone rang I heard a familiar voice that I had not heard for years, it was John asking for forgiveness, even though we were miles apart I felt that I had taken him by the hand and said: “Not only has God forgiven you but I also have.” The release was sudden, and at that moment we both discovered God’s most significant color!

As we think of all the various colors, we think of the crimson of the sunset, the blue of the ocean, the green of the trees in springtime, the purple of a flower, but, there comes a time when the best color appears. Of all the colors that God uses to paint our world with the greatest of them all is white! G. K. Chesterton said, “God paints in many colors, but He never paints so gorgeously as when He paints in white.” The prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah 1:18 “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow.” That’s the greatest promise and color of the Bible.

Download my series called “Finishing Strong,” and you will discover that God never gives up on you.
