James Allan said, “As a man thinks in his heart so is he” (Proverbs 23:7) “not only embraces the whole of a mans being, but is so comprehensive as to reach out to every condition and circumstance of his life. A person is literally what they think, our character being the complete sum of all our thoughts. As the plant springs from, and could not be without the seed, so every act of a person springs from the hidden seeds of thought.”

Romans 12:2 Living Bible, “Let God transform you into a new person, by changing the way you think.” Why is that so? Thoughts thought upon become images or pictures in our mind which after a time take strongholds in our life, which means they will pull us in their direction. Simply put, you cannot consistently perform in a manner which is inconsistent with the way you see yourself. From the clothes you wear, the way you look, the profession you chose, the mate you select, the habits you acquire, the moral conduct you portray, were all influenced by the way you see yourself. So to see and think right we first must see God right, because the image we have of Him will affect our attitude, behavior, and our being. The highest concept we can hold of God is from His word through the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus said if you’ve seen me you’ve seen the Father. So see Him with you. See Him as a kind, compassionate and a loving Father who wants the best for you. This type of thinking is the antidote for fear, worry, and anxiety.
