Robert Louis Stevenson said, “To be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming, is the only end of life.” When we create comparisons with others, it breeds in us frustration, failure, and unhappiness. When we are unwilling to be ourselves, it’s an insult to God. Consider the Bible verse John 1:3. “All things were made by Him; without Him was not anything made that was made.” That includes us!

Before you were born, you existed in the mind of God. He decided that the world needed you, and that there is something for you to do that no other person can do. In other words, God knew when you would be born, where you would be born, and to whom you would be born. So you are the right person at the right time and in the right place!

Everything God made has its own identity. There are billions of blades of grass, but no two are alike. No two snowflakes have ever been identical. No person has ever existed like you. This thought should lift you. Just think that of all the billions of people on the planet, there is only one of you!

A sixth-grade teacher asked the class, “What is here in the world today that was not here twenty years ago?” She expected them to say the I-Phone. One boy raised his hand, “What is it, Johnny?” He said, “me,” and he was right.
